I was wondering if anyone else has experienced the same problem after replaceing timing chain tensioners as I am haveing .... There is what sounds like a lifter rattle in the motor on start up and again when the motor warms up . Basically I was wondering if there are issues with the oil pumps on the boss 260s , cheers .

yes. the boss 260 oil pumps sucked a**.
shoulda got a aftermarket / billet one put in when the guides were done.

Did you change the chains too ???.....did line up the cams properly???

the 3Vrun a different / stronger pump to cater for the VCT.

i had my chain guides and tensioners done and still have a small rattle sometimes when starting cold. was told when it was done that it could be the starter motor, something to do with it taking a second or 2 to disengage
