I'm curious as to whether anyone is using the QFM A1RM pads on here. I did a search and only really came up with one hit of someone that was using them and liking them. Searching the net comes up with tons of hits, all by GSL Rallysport, who are the sellers so it makes it hard to get an honest opinion. They seem a little too good to be true. High temp pads, with bite from cold, not much dust and doesnt eat into rotors?
http://gslrallysport.com/shop/index.php ... ducts_id=5 On the EL XR6 i have slotted discs all round, and was running Bendix Ultimate pads in the front. They stop good, but I've had them fade on me twice now, and the dust they put out is huge. Didn't really bother me on the FTR's but i just got 19's and i want to make sure when the car goes on the road it stops good, but also doesn't dust up onto the rims too much. I was looking at the A1RM pads. The car gets just usual street driving, never sees track use, but on weekends it does cop a real hiding on the twisties, which is what it has been doing both times the brakes faded. Also recommended was TRW GP600 DOT 4 fluid, as it hasn't been changed since i got the car. I also have an R31 which is going to be heading to the track, just for fun days to start with. Was looking at the A1RM pads for that too, so wondering whether they'll be able to take the beating. Thanks in advance |

I liked them back when i still had the old EF, i ended up half wearing out one set of front pads and replaced the rear pads. I put standard bendix in the back as i was selling the car.
But like i said in old thread (if you search QFM it to the bottom of the page) they worked very well and for a street performance setup they are the best bang for buck pads you'll get. If you need more brakes then that copy what the saloon cars are running. (this year they can run a ventilated rear rotor and a territory calliper) |

By all accounts, these seem like a great pad. I'll be getting my hands on some soon, I think.

I too have had the Bendix Ultimate's fade on me.
I am looking at the QFM A1RM pads aswell. I will try next rotor/pad change. If you have tried them by now please let me know how they went.

Im running these front and back, not a huge fan of them tbh, very dusty and super noisy at low speeds. The intial bite really isnt that great which was what i was after. After a a few goes they do however pull up very well. They were pretty cheap so im not too fussed but I wouldnt use them again

Have them front and back with slotted DBA's and nothing really to complain about. Ultimates will destroy your disc's as their compound is very hard and very caustic(look at your inner rims if you use the Bendix poop and you will see what I mean!!). I have nil dust on my wheels from the QFM pads and they have been on the car for 2 years now - still at 40 per cent. The one thing I don't like about them is they do tend to squeak a little when they are cold.
Do yourself a favour and put them on. |
