It would be ideal to run with the Ghia ECU. Fuel mapping is different between Tickford and standard. So if you can get your hands on a Ghia ECU as well, plug it in.

EDIT: forgot to say, it will also run with the normal Fairmont ECU, but won't get full potential out of the Tickford gear you just put in.

It'll still run just fine. If you can get the ECU cheap grab it. If you're going to spend hundreds, get a J3 chip with the Fairmont Ghia mapping. I drove mine on the standard ECU for a year or so until I got the j3 chip. No issues.
