hey guys,
my belt slipped off my belt tensioner due to it being on an angle so I plan to replace it but apparently according to Ford's the VCT and non VCT have different part numbers... they couldn't say what the differences were though. according to pictures and looking at mine on the car they look very much the same. I'm just wondering whether anyone knows if I could save more than $100 by using the standard one or whether they really do have differences? thanks john |

I just went to Repco and had a look at the original and they were pretty much identical (apart for the materials and the mold shape) So stuff buying the super expensive VCT one I bought the standard one for $120 as opposed to the $240 for the VCT one.
But thanks for your help if i'd waited a little bit longer for your reply I could have bought one off eBay for $95 |

I have fitted an EF tensioner to an AU with VCT, not an issue.
