G'day guys, had a few dramas over the last few weeks in regards to the car stalling/idling rough and then running fine a day or two later? Plugs, leads, fuel filter and dizzy cap have recently been changed, auto has been serviced, no vacuum leaks that i could see and fuel pump isnt making any unusual noises. Car drove fine this morning until i threw her in reverse at a carpark, causing a whole heap of spluttering and stalling. Started up, only to do the same thing again and then clonk out. It even died on me doing 100km/h on the freeway the other day, revs just dropped and engine clonked out.
Im suspicious of a small electrical gremlin as the idle jumps or drops everytime the passenger door is slammed? I checked the ECU earth but nothing seems to be wrong, same goes with the earth from battery to block. Could it possibly be one of the following? 1. Faulty neutral start switch, as iv already replaced it before but with a second hand part? 2. Loose earth somewhere?? 3. Faulty MAP sensor? any help would be greatly appreciated... car is an ED 6cyl Auto running an EL ECU and j3

Car drove home tonight without stalling but still idled fairly rough... whilst having a fiddle i gave the passenger door a slam and idle went back to normal. What sort of earths/electrical connections should i be looking for on that side of the car??

Completely overlooked that, only checked the ecu itself. Might have a look tomorrow, is it as simple as just pulling it out, giving the connection a rub and throwing it back in?
Its a pretty good idea to dissconnect the battery when fidling with the j3 port isnt it?
