hi all will my au3 vct engine run on an au 1 vct ecu

depends on what your trying to do?

if your swapping engines between series1 au and series 2/3 au then yes the engines are pretty much identical, except for a few things like coilpack,map sensor and tps..
but head and block is the same..

if your wanting to swap ecu's from series 1 to series 2/3 then no they wont interchange,,

from the begining my ute is au 1 engine died so i fitted series 3 vct and trans
in the procces i fitted fairmont ghia interior black leather looks good but all from a series 1 now ive got everything to work exept the control centre climate system works but average ks and dte not working which is why i want to swap ecus to fix problem i hope lol sorry about the long winded reply but i reckon no such thing as too much info lol
