I have an EFII Ghia and I did the gauge cluster LED mod only to discover that the screen on the trip computer no longer lights up. I didn't even touch it so I don't know why it doesn't work now.
I've done dash cluster mods on a GLi before and did not have this problem. But it had a standard clock and XR cluster rather than the Fairmont stuff. Anyone got any ideas?

I've converted my cluster to blue LEDs and also the trip and climate displays and backgrounds... There is no reason for the trip to stop if everything else is still on and working so I'm guessing you blew the globe or something. take it out and check and if you have a test light or multimeter you can test if the globe socket has power.
