I think we are soulmates, considering my comment was near identical to yours.

Just to throw a spanner in the works, becuase you havnt invested any $$ in the car apart from the initial purchase price you could possibly sell it and buy an AU2 or AU3 XR6 VCT. Power to weight is alot better, and general consensus is they are more reliable than the BA1/2 models.

BA XR6 - 1664kg ...... 182kw

AU2/3 XR6 VCT - 1490kg ...... 172kw

You will find the AU2-3 XR6 VCT's are around 1600kg, the IRS bumped the weight up quite a bit. So much that the normal XR6 HP was quicker then the VCT.

agreed.

you can do all the n/a mods under the sun, but a falcon with 4 speed auto & standard diff ratio still wont go anywhere

Best bang for buck would be diff gears on the 4 speed auto, you won't notice much from an exhaust and CAI besides sound untill a tune where you'd notice everything. Another thing they's good for the autos is underdrive pulleys. I'm gettimg some fitted in 2 weeks then diff gears a month or so after that because there is no where in my town that can do them so going on a holiday to get them done lol
