Hi ,John here,installing new welch plugs,I have "STAG" jointing paste,should I use this or something else,please could someone give me some advice,thankyou,johnnyeHCF.

I'd suggest using high strength Loctite

I like to use Aviation Form-A-Gasket, you can get it from supercrap
link link link Either Stag or Permatex are good, I'd go for a non permanent sealer, don't use the loctite, I am sure it works, but both stag and the Aviation Form-A-Gasket are right for the job.

I've used STAG on the exhaust side welch plugs - a few years ago now, no leaks to date.
