Hi there guys, iv repower my manual 4.1 xf ute with a 4.1 out of a xe wagon, the problem is it keeps overfueling a fouling the plugs, I hav tried a number of different carbs and fully stripped one of them down, all seem to be fine. Its like the carb cannot handle the fuel presure, does anyone know what presure they shuld run at?
Or if there is any diffrence betwen the alloy heads from xe to xf that might play a part in this problem?
I do have the correct plugs for the xe head, they are diffrent to xf, however most other parts on the motor are xf, pump dizzy, intake, carb etc.
I have checked the fuel presure and it sits at around 4 pounds, and tired diffrent pumps, with the same out come. Please help this repower is turning into a nightmere
