Location: victoria
VIC, Australia

Hello,
My name is Dean

I am looking at a set of wheels for my 1992 Ford EB Falcon.
Now after the EL falcon they changed the offset of wheels.
I was wondering instead of putting spaces on my car can i change my:

* Hubs
* Rotors
* Callipers

To AU? The real question is. Will AU hubs,rotors&callipers fit on my car???

Much thankful for help...

Most big brake kits change the front wheels offet Not generally a cheap option. Add an AU diff and your set.

Hello Dean and welcome.

The short answer is NO.

Before you get a bunch of replies saying 'do a search' in not such a friendly way, I would suggest you have a look through the more popular Garage Threads.

Put simply, if it were as easy as bolting up a few AU/BA parts to our E Series front ends, most of us enthusiasts would have done it years ago. Unfortunately there is no easy solution.

You will find very quickly that there are only 4 or 5 members who have upgraded their front brakes to larger rotors and calipers etc.

Of those few, a handful have purchased 'Big Brake Kits' and at a minimum of $1500 is out of reach or consideration for the rest of us. The others have actually grafted in the complete AU K frame and associated parts. One member recently modded an E Series rotor and the uprights to fit an AU rotor over it all etc, but he is one of the first. He is close to having it engineered for his car, but total costs are still around the $800 completed.

AU differentials will bolt in, but that still leaves the front as the main problem.

I hope that helps.

Cheers
BenJ

We want a lot of things in life but can't have them, get used to it.

What you are wanting to do can be done but will cost you more than your wheels will be worth and probably more than your car is worth, no offence meant but another one of those disapointments of life.

Best option for you if you wish to continue down this track is to contact Hopper Stoppers, Phone: (03) 9748 6950 or Race Brakes Melbourne, 03 9687 7222 and get a price for a kit from them. You will then need to get an AU diff, fit this, which will also require modification with the handbrake cable. when you have done all this you are away, for the price you could have bought a AU.

Life, isn't it wonderful.
