I took a complete second hand diff assembly (hub to hub) to a "Driveline Professionals" workshop for bearing replacement and general once over as my current diff is very noisey, would it be unreasonable to expect them to check for axle hub "run out" or "true" before fitting new bearings to the axles??
Reason i ask is, i got the diff back after great expense, checked to find they hadn't put any oil in it, and hadn't told me either, just said its ready to roll. Filled with oil, fitted it to my ute, started ute in gear while on the stands and noticed both axle hubs where warped ( out of true).
I'd have thought any decent shop would check an axle before bothering to replace the bearing assembly on it?
I've since given up on these turkey's and fitted new bearings to my original axles and fitted them myself to the "reco'd" diff.
Hard to find good service these days, espessially in Mackay.

That will depend on how dilligent they are......maybe you should say something....like...."I think I might a have a bent axle or something"......?????.....keep them on their toes....maybe.

Just ask for them to check it
