Hey All,
Have an AU premium sound headunit - some of the globes are out on it...curious if anyone has replaced globes on these headunits before? I know the in-dash 6cd part of the unit is quite touchy and many are prone to fail (touchwood) - so don't really want to go messing around with it unless I know what I'm specifically looking for. Any help appreciated guys! Steve |

The same company that fixes the climate displays also does the head units. Bloody purist, get an aftermarket head unit and be done with it.

Soooooo, what's their name then ?
Far from a purist...in good time I'll prove this I've got way too much gear for one car (heck, two cars!) - indecision makes it easier to stick with premo sound dc_todd wrote: The same company that fixes the climate displays also does the head units. the face is held on by 2 screws and unclips from the main unit so u wont have to distub any of the mechanisms inside.
once the the face is pulled apart there is a metal frame/bracket that goes around the LCD. the quickest option is to unsolder the bracket and gently lever the plastic frame up high enough to get to the 2 bulbs underneath. iirc they are clipped on to 2 support posts. otherwise give me 2 weeks til my final exams are out of the way! |
