Hey, a mate of mine needs a new alternator on his EB, now the EB already has a mitsubishi alternator, and we arent real keen on doing the serpentine belt setup at the moment. Can we just swap the pulley from an EB alt to the EF one and bolt it on and away we go?

Yes & yes, if you thread the top bolt hole on the EF alternator so you can bolt it in place just like the factory EB Setup, otherwise you can't get proper belt tension on it.
I've done it. There's a pic in my build thread somewhere in the early pages with the modified alternator, except I was lazy & didn't change the pulley. Never chewed up a belt. Cheers ToranaGuy

I re-read my post in my build thread, forgot to mention you need to grind a little off the bracket & the alternator to make it fit, then with a threaded top bolt hole there was no issues.
Cheers ToranaGuy
