Hey, I've had a fully rebuilt engine dropped into my car and before I had it tuned it was running rich and 5 & 6 were fouling up plugs if it stalled, they only smelt of petrol, now it's been tuned and is running great but I pulled the plugs out and 4,5 & 6 are black with partial white, with oil up the top end of the spark thread, what could be the possible cause? Glazed bores or something else. Any ideas?

not really, but a comp test can give you some insight of whats going on..
but you can still have a bad oil ring without loosing compression..

how many kms since it was built??
how have you done the run in process??

It could have.
But something is wrong if the plug don't all look the same.
You need to work out why it only blackens some of the plugs.

And why the oil is up the thread

I wouldn't be worried about that right now. It's more important you find out why there is such a varriation between cylinders. Once you have fixed that you can start to worry about it having glazed the bores or not.

Well what I thought was that when it was over fuelling it was gradually worse from 4-6 and now it's tuned maybe began glazing which is causing the oil on plugs? But the thing being, the oil is only on top of the threads not the bottom

Well what I said was, forget about the oil on the threads or anything els until you work out why it's got such uneven fueling.

Could it be anything to do with the vac hose not being on the back of the rocker cover? Or the fuel reg??

The hose that goes on the back on the rocker cover is for the breathing...collects hot oil vapours, and goes down to the throttle body in front of the butterfly.
Not having a vacuum hose on the regulator will raise the fuel pressure in the rail at idle.....but won't do anything at say, 2,000 rpm and higher.
