hi guys, i just got my self a set of second hand 4499 pacemaker extractors for $60..pretty good price i reckon, any who the guys i got them off told me they wont bolt on to my stock cat, what type of modifications are needed to get these bad boys on my 95 ef futura? :) and dose any one know roughly how big of a dent in my wallet the mods and fitting are gonna make?

you need a piece of pipe from the extractors to the exhaust system, and somewhere in that length of pipe you can either get a new cat welded in(at an extra cost of $200 for a new one at a rough guess) or you could get them to cut the existing cat and weld it into this new bit of pipe, any exhaust shop will do it and the price will vary between places you go

my friends a boilermaker but i think he wouldnt do it for anyone, have seen him make an exhaust for his ve with a $100 stick welder, though it wasnt pretty. it worked well lol.
i doubt they would charge alot to do it if your going to use the standard cat

theres an independant muffler place at gateshead/bennetts green. my bet is he would be cheaper than carline etc.. and small companies deserve the money more anyway
