I did mine with VHT Satin Black Vinyl dye and Motospray Matt Black Acrylic/Motospray Clear coat paint both out of a can.
For the hard plastics I cleaned them with wax and grease remover or prepsol then gave them a light sand, cleaned them again then used Motospray plastic primer then the Matt black then the clear coat. Making sure you follow the instructions and do a few light coats not heavy coats until you get good coverage.
For the softer parts like the dash and the tops of the doors I cleaned them (same stuff as before) a light sand, cleaned again then used the Vinyl dye and they all came up really good!
No wear on them yet or any peeling. Just gotta make sure you prime the plastics and make sure everything is clean.
