is there a way to test the solinoeds in a EL auto box without removing them

You can check them with a multimeter.
They should read around 20-30 ohm (can't remember off the top off my head)
The factory manual has the values.

All you need to do is remove the round plug at the auto, identify which pin is which solenoid, then check using the ohm setting on the multimeter.

what about the s5 i got told it cant b tested or is the transmission place tryn make me get a new one

S5 is a variable solenoid.
I don't know if it can be tested, probably not. At least not without special equipment.

I don't know and I don't have the service manual near me.

The EF-EL factory manual is available for download somewhere.

They also have a habit of testing fine when cold, but when hot (full operating temp) that stop working.

theyd have to be done when hot IMO becouse thats when the problem occurs
