I have just done a manual conversion on an EL, I have fitted a J3 chip with 6TAC tune on it, it cranks but has no spark, I have changed the dizzy and the coil, is there anywhere else i should be looking?

another thing to add I just tested to see if there was voltage at the coil and i'm getting 12V. this has got me stumped.

Just try pulling the J3 out of it and see if it starts?
The auto computer should still start a manual... Just logs a heap of codes... But who cares for now? Cheers, Tim

Make sure the j3 port is really clean and the chip is in properly. This also causes problems

j3 now removed, still no spark.

OK cool... Ruled that out...
Working back... You have 12V at the coil... So coil isn't grounding... Coil is grounded by the TFI module... At the TFI... If you probe them with a test lamp (not led)... There is two big red wires... One is powered when key on... Other is powered when key is held to crank... Do you have this? Connect alligator clamp on the test lamp to battery positive and then probe the pink with blue wire coming out of the TFI... This is pin which grounds to cause the charge on the coil and then releases to cause spark... The test lamp should flash as you crank it over... Do you have this? Cheers, Tim

Funny story that... I had the same... Brand new genuine Ford... So I replaced it with the Bosch newly designed unit... Trouble free...
