Hi, can the ESS controls on the steering wheel from the te50 be hooked up to the standard au1 v8 auto, thanks

The ESS box is a different beast to the standard one.
It can all be fitted but the box needs to be changed.

Different gearbox as mentioned and different trans ECU as well. Boxes pretty much are larger internals and bigger pump, trans ECU, not sure what the story is there, but my guess is, it has ESS software? smart a** huh. Sorry
Oh, just hope you never need to rebuild one of the boxes either. Mine cost $1800 and that was at very very good mates rates.
