Hey guy's,
I'm not sure if I'm just being a n00b or whatever, but I'm having trouble removing my oil pressure sender, I'm basically just on here looking for tips to remove it so I can replace it. It's for an EL V8 btw I've got some photo's of it here: Attachment: Attachment: Attachment: Attachment: So I've worked out that the thread going into the engine block requires a 24mm socket or similer AF size spanner, but the spanner we have is wayyyyyy too long, it fouls up against the thermo fan's, so I was thinking of buying a small cheap spanner to get that off, or even finding an old socket and cutting it down in half would even do the trick. But my next dilema is that electrical part of the sender will then foul on the block when I start to turn it, there does appear to be a hex for maybe unscrewing it but it certainly isn't any ordinary hex drive I've also added a pic of the new sender too, I've had a look at the connection on the loom, and by the looks of it I'll have to cut it off and crimp an eyelet terminal on the loom to replace the spade terminal that's on there. Cheer's guys

1"+1/8th deep impact socket, or as you said, buy a cheap spanner or make one.
that replacement sender is for EB-ED.

Are you sure about the replacement sender?
When I replaced the sender out of my ED 6 Cylinder it did look like that but it had a terminal right on the very top that seemed to suit my spade terminal, ie the connection "slotted" in, if that makes any sense.
