( pretty sure )should be 26mm but best to measure it with vernier calipers as it may have been changed ,el fairmont bar is 28 or xh ute is 29 and will fit straight on your car pick one up for $50 at a wreckers or a whiteline 30mm for $250 ,even the 28 will make a noticeable difference

26 sounds right. There was 27 on station wagons too... Never seen a standard from Ford factory with 29mm, but take your word on that. They never put sway bars in the back, so tried to make up for it in the front.
