Hi guys
Well after a bit of an absence im back (Kinda sorta!!!!). Anyway, got a slight problem with my new "Toy". Just picked up an NL Fairlane V8 dirt cheap coz it won't start. Got a new battery in it, and when you turn the key it makes a clicking sound, but nothing else. it's not a loud, frequent click likie a starter solenoid, but a soft click, and a fair gap between clicks. sounds to me like a relay. guy i got it from said he went to leave work one night, and it wouldnt start. when the auto sparky had a look he told him the battery was f**ked. he also replaced a couple of relays (Down near the drivers headlight), and it was good for a couple of days, then it died again. any suggestions? i need to get it running sharpish. currently i'm thinking of changing the relays again, or taking it to an auto sparky, but hoping to get suggestions that would be cheaper and easier for me to sort myself |

If that's all it is I've got me a wicked bargain. Talked to an auto sparky, and he suggested that I try giving the starter a "technical adjustment" to begin with. Then quoted me $150 to rebuild the starter if the brushes are shot
