Hey guys,
Was just browsing Supercheap in Dandy the other day when I noticed The K&N panel for ef/els was/is $40, no special or discount. This seemed pretty reasonable so I grabbed it. This a good price? It's taken me a while but I've overcome the pod wank phase of my life. |

Yeah be that as it may, I reckon Ive regained the fraction of power I infact lost with my previous set up (kn pod in box with portion of air box opened up at front). I now know what blokes have been saying for a while about just using a good panel and not stuffing around with a pod unless it's a monster and it has channelled cold air. Bloody happy with it actually.

The problem I have with those guys testing is, first of all, it was done on a dyno and 2nd they only tested peak power. It's like cold air/ram air kit testing on a dyno...flawed. A cooling fan like they use on a dyno can never recreate the same sort of air pressure that a vehicle actually sees. You need a wind tunnel.
I'm afraid the only way to test this sort of thing properly is on the track. |
