i hve and he recommended the pzt 14f. but after traulling for hours thru f-truk forums and stuff these plugs are also the two-piece design so may have the same problem come up?..

apparently the champion ones are one piece so they dont break. some people says thier truks run like s**t others have no problem.. i just wana know if anyone here has used the champs and if they are any good.

I'd just use the proper plugs and pull them out/clean them every 20-40,000km's

sorry to thread mine but
what did you end up getting ?
i heard get a step hotter and a quality plug,
somthing to do with carbon build up.
iirc autolite came second to a one piece design for best plug.

well after plenty of reading and carry on i have come to the conclusion that champion spark plugs arent woth a piece of dirt. a mate from the local car club had them and two turned up broken, got replacements but after a month another one shlt itself so he went back to the motorcraft ones.

which is what i am about to do. as of tonite i am purchasing a set of 8 motorcraft pzt-14f for $170

and seeing as my car is just about to click over the 200,000k mark its about time for tem to be replaced. i also have the listle broken spark plug remover tool on hand if anything "fun" happens :?

so delivery will be a week or so and then maybe a week or so after that when i build up enough courage ill be changing plugs, oil + filter, coolant + maybe fuel filter too. a nice birthday for my car since its been doing well and hasnt kicked up too much fuss in the 100,000 ive owned it.

well well after finally gathering all the pieces and oil coolant and that i got underway yesterday.

changed oil, oil filter and coolant flush and change.
most of the clicky noise and that when idling was now gone.
that was saturday,
sunday had to drive around a bit in the morning then got home and got to work taking the coil packs off and filling the plug holes halfway with wd-40.

let that sit for a few mins then started on the plugs. just cracked them and let them sit for a bit more.
then slowly "worked" them , so undo a bit then do up a bit and repeated for a few revs then out they came and all in one piece. i was soo happy.

then just whack the new ones in and off she went. a lot smoother idling and driving and picked up a bit o power. :P

so all round thumbs up
