hey guys, only new here, but i just started to install my new pioneer headunit in my el futura. i was matching everything up with the wiring diagram but some of the wires seem non existant? i cant find the constant battery voltage which says is the dark green/yellow wire as well as the red/dark blue which says is the power antenna. there are 2 other orange ones that do not connect to anything. Help is much appreciated!

Easiest way to do it is to go into super cheap and buy the aerpro harness to suit the car... The leaves the factory plug in tact and gives industry std wire colours... All you do then is match the colours up... I've never installed a headunit without one... Mean I can solder it up on the bench and simply plug it in...

all that depends on many factors... Ford used a lot of what was left over and what is new because we run out of the old stuff over the years... Small things vary between cars, but normally wire colours... Then it depends, are you using a genuine Ford Workshop manual for the right car, or are you using a Gregorys or something like that?

Cheers,
Tim

oh yeah fair enough i spose. i was just using the diagram for ef and el's that is on this forum not a car specific one. i should really get a workshop manual though, that will probably save me a lot of drama and stuffing around next time!
