I was wondering if a forum member who has an XB/ZG workshop manual could let me know the valve clearances and tolerances for a 250 non crossflow motor. Also, does anyone know where a decent lifter collapsing tool can be bought? Cheer's.

I note a contradiction there. You want valve clearances but want to collapse lifters. Engines with hydraulic lifters do not have valve clearances. They are set with a pre load. Is that what you want to know, how to set the pre load? If so I can tell you. Regards T.P.V.M.

Dont know where you would get the tool but the lifters are the same as a cleveland (I think) which from memory (Colapased) is 125 thou or 1/8" that's with a 1.73 rocker ratio, the six is only (I Think) 1.5 so it would be slightly less around 105 to 110 thou.
