I have been looking at some inline chassis rail mounted oil coolers for the EF, why chassis you may ask well with the inter-cooler we just don't have room for the old front mounted fin and plate type oil cooler.

I was wondering if anyone has already gone down this road and had any info or if anyone can throw some light on this heat sink type cooler.

One of the companies has this bit of info:_
More than double the surface area of our standard No. 41200 transmission cooler
Withstands up to 30 lbs. of pressure
Dual combination cooler/filters use "heat sink design" to dissipate the excessive heat build up in racing transmissions
Made of aluminium with 1072 sq. inches of radiation surface for high heat transfer
Filter with magnet removes all wear particles over 10 microns in size
Dimensions: 3-1/2" H x 6-1/4"W x 18" L and weighs 4.7 lbs.
Very easy to install, uses four mounting tabs; not recommended for street use
Comes complete with filter cartridge, includes two 1/4" NPT to -6AN fittings and all necessary installation instructions

Ok who's got any ideas or advice.
