hey guys just an update on how the boost up went , as u are all aware there are limits and set up issues that can stop us reaching our goals
was going to run 20 -22 psi but looks like an inturnaly gated gt35/82r turbo with my setup will only boost to 19 or 20 psi next issue was my 660 cc injectors maxed out at 18 psi so the car made 305 rwkw @17.5psi still with standard cam i am prity happy with that cheers |

What fuel supply ?? I would have thought 660 injectors would be higher than that??
Pump keeping up to demand ??

BRAND NEW WALBRO 255lt hr
injectors were at 99.5 duty from 4600 rpm onwards fuel pressure was stable to redline i too thought my fuel system would support 350rwkw , i seen the data log of the fuel map at two differant dynos they both showed the duty cycle to be the same cheers |

Did the fuel pressure dip or drop through the power run ??
What fuel pressure have you got at idle ?? Much higher boost than 15Lb on these turbo's your starting to heat the air too much.. Water / Meth kit helps.. Keep an eye on turbine temps.. The centre rotating assembly [CRA] can overheat, even though they are water cooled.. Rendering them useless with $1800 fix.. A GT4202 would be far better turbo, but require an external wastegate... Over 15LB usually requires valve spring upgrade.. At times it pays to be happy with what power you have.. Then make the best of that...Power can be addictive..

to be honest only had a few quick looks at fuel pressure on one run
it only runnin 30 psi at idle which i did bring up a few times with the tuner he said it was ok it rises to 45 plus during the run yes i know standard i6 fuel pressure is 37 at idle yeh that turbo would be better suited to high boost apps, but i never wanted a crazy high power monster i will drop boost back to 15 and be happy with the that ,its still a very quick car and struggled for grip at 12psi its got valve spings in summary yes i do think i had some fuel issues at high boost and maybe some other things that havent been noticed like turbo temps and cooler flow ect it still made ok power and sounded strong cheers for your input mate im am planning to do a groud up full rebuild of the car in few years when my sons a bit older and i will put all ive learnt from that last few set ups into practice |
