Got a el manual seems to take a lil bit for idle to drop inbetween gears its an origonal manual had this problem with my converted el ghia but unplugged thing on to of throttle body can do same with this but rather not seen a few posts on this topic but couldnt find the info i need

Has it got the return spring on the throttle plate?
I had to put a slightly tighter spring on mine to drop it quicker, could also be a streached accelerator cable.
