Hi guys,
I am pretty new to the bigger ford club and even newer to the modifying scene, What I would like to know is having this ute (94 XG) does it have the same engine as a ebII even though the owner put a S pack of the same year in it? I am just finding myself getting confused by looking in other sections and need some clarification so I know what is relevant to my ute. Also what is the name of the workshop manual I should be looking for? I know the XG is put into a supplement so is it the XF workshop book I should be buying? Sorry for being all noob like. I appreciate all the help Steve. |

have a look in the x forum - i found this-there is no such thing as an "E series ute"
the X series was continued for the commercial range all the way through till EL. XG= EA-ED XH= EF XHII= EL

If you want to buy the Ford manuals (more expensive than the Gregorys), try this
http://www.pitstop.net.au/view/products/page/query/plu/3603/ with this http://www.pitstop.net.au/view/products/page/query/plu/20932/ Maybe have a read of the Gregorys and if you want more detail get the ones above. As far as I know, S packs had no changes to the engine, so it should be a normal EBII. XR6 engines are different. A lot of info will be covered in the E series forum, because although it is an XG, the components come from a variety of cars. Have fun. |

Well having owned every model ever made.. (I had a small adiction problem) U want the gregory's EB2 manual, with the ute vanm supplement. I have one here. Now I have an XH2 van.. I often still use the EB2 manual as the EF EL manual doesnt have the van supplement. What you are about to find out as U venture into the X series maze, is that they are a parts bin special. My XH2 Van built Jun 98, has in effect a EB2 engine, with the EF serpentine belt system. I recently found out it has an AU1 head on it. You must remember however that it is in effect an XD released 1979. The same as yours. A mate has the latest built one I have ever seen oct 99 ??? Or june. AU was well into production by then. His is a tradesman, and has even more leftover bits thrown at/on it. It does create a massive drama 4 people like us.. Learn all u can.. And this site is amazing for help. Try Ebay for ur EB2 manual. Regards Daz
