I have 17 inch speedy's on my ef, I have done countless trips up to rocky and covered most of the bruce highway and after about 12 months of them on the car they are still not buckled. I dont know if I scored a gem set or not but I even hit a sharp dip in the road hard enough to pop the light off the roof and they are still straight ( although im abit of an a*** and go where i want on a road to avoid potholes  ) and can i ask the 19's on the first page what pressure where they running?

I'd love to know the answer to this question, as it looks like it's been in Afghanistan & hit a IED!

Cheers

I was going to say something clever in the above post like MAYBE YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE PUT THE AU WHEEL ON AN ARMOURED PERSONNEL CARRIER AND TOURED AFGHANISTAN but then no one would have worked out what the hell I was on about....

I don't know what it hit. But it hasn't put any marks or damage on the tyre at all.
Most of the damaged rims on the crash/insurance stuff we do have damaged tyres that show very well what had happened.

Lower control arm is broken too along with the front guard.

I'll take some photos of the rest of it.
Although I have welded the lower control arm back together to make the drivable enough to move it in and out of the workshop until we get a chance to strip the car and send the shell to Metal King.

Far out. I've seen a Holden wheel crack from the valve hole about 6 inches around it, but nothing like the one shown above.

All I can think of on that AU wheel is a flaw in the casting, and years of metal fatigue eventually weakened it enough to go pop?
