hey all sorry if ive posted this in the wrong spot..
looking for some advice on the issue im having with idle the current setup is stage 3 crow cams and heavy vlave springs the car idles properly and has no isseus when the gearbox isnt in gear once the gear is changed to drive or reverse the engine starts pig rooting as they say or hopping until you move the gear back into nuetral or park. does anyone know how to fix this issue, is it a result of a poor tune or do i need to upgrade the driveline to affect the load on the engine becuase of the increase of the cam size currently it has 2.73 diff gears and 6speed zf auto there is another car identical to mine but only difference is a diff ratio 3.23 and has no issues with the hopping and is using the identical tune. Would changing the Ratio of the Diff fix my issue any sugestions ?

Hey mate, I can't answer your question unfortunately but rather have one for you.
What cams did you get for your car, I have an FG XR6 and I'm looking at getting some Crow Cams put in but I really can't find any info on what ones would suit best. |

You said identical tune? How can it be identical. Tunes are vehicles specific unless it's a generic tune, which would explain the issues lol

hey
guys thanx for the replies the new differential is in and has made alot off difference in acceleration and handling also more tuning has fixed the hopping with the camshafts 3.23 + LSD gets rid of the lagg of the camshafts to answer Contra028 qs ive put in stage 3 crow cams and had it tuned with a full exhaust + high flow cat and hurricane extractors. ill send the number of which cams can be used its a good combination once tuned should produce between 200rwkw - 210rwkw ive achieved 202rwkw and 566nm the costs are expensive tho - stage 3 crow cams are - $950.00 a set - valve springs will be needed - $300 ish - xcal flash tuner $700 - LSD diff will be needed to help with the extra power, dangerous with a single spinner lol - a lsd diff with 3.23 diff gears will set you back 2000 fitted - head porting can be done which costs $1000 ish - underdrive pullys can also give power $300 Id reccomend trying stage 2 crow cams there easier to tune they would make around the same power but cant confirm....
