I know its engine related now, however my mate wants to see if the 1st cylinder is firing as he thinks if the injector is blocked, this can cause shaking aswell, the harmonic balancer is in its normal position & the fan belt is moving as it should. My other engine is not quite ready to go into my car yet as my mate is drilling out the lower manifold for the IAT sensor or otherwise I would just bite the bullet and swap engines.

dizzy cap poped off mabe i have an el had the same simptoms. |

Is balancer at TDC when #1 piston is on TDC on compression stroke..??
Being a 50 Oz external balance engine .. If outer ring moves. Puts engine balance out.. Put injector clips to check injector or cylinder efficiency..

Well it was the harmonic balancer after all, we went to his place and got the one off my other engine so I suppose it was handy to have that engine bolted up to an engine stand.
Am I better off buying a new one to replace the one I took off the other engine and how much are they new?

They are around 90-120 new from repco

I rang both repco and my local spares shop and they both quoted over $200 for the part.
I did some searching on the web and found most are $200+, however I found this {DESCRIPTION} Is it worth taking the risk buying this part as I can't be sure if its the correct part?
