Hi folks,

So I helped a mate change his plugs in his EB XR8 last night, we replaced the old worn out ones with platinum Autolites, they came pre gapped at .040"

Now the car has very bad hunting at idle, smells rich of fuel and pops a little on accel. It drives hard and smooth when the pedal is pushed down though.

One thing that did happen is en extension bar accidentally fell onto and bridged the battery terminals creating a spark display. Would this have done anything to cause the problems?

Will hopefully get the codes read next week but thought I'd give FM a crack first.
