hi i have ba 03 futura and trying to change fuel filter.the filter was in backwards(worked fine)(flow arrow pointed to rear) and the new z373(both filters are z373) is a different size so i was left with no choice but to just turn the old one around now it seems to be hunting abit is this due to a dirty filter or direction?(flow arrow pointed to front) should i turn it back.Cant find a filter that will fit any one else had this issue please help.10.4l/100km.I asked the team at supercheap and ford but no one has any idea. :?

If the thread sizes are the same, bend the metal pipes a little to make it fit,

the bracket it sits in is also larger any ideas the new one would just flop around in it

replace it with the same brand,when you turned it around you put all the rubbish into the motor,it may clear or need work.

Im using that same gold coloured filter. Its shouldnt move much once the lines are tightened.

both filters are ryco z373 ???why the difference

also im getting 730ks to tank is this alright 10.4l/100km wat is everyone else getting??

i agree not my smartest moment.thanx for all your help like stubbie cooler idea ill go with that.no granny driving always doing 100 wat i save in fuel i spend in oil and filters.the k and n air filter help with fuel economy.service every 5000ks and i have 250 000ks on the clock.i am going to run some injector cleaner and fit the new ryco z373 filter and hope this works for the rough idle

might want to get your injectors cleaned...or just get a second pair from wreckers to see how that goes. No doubt the reversing of the filter has caused s**t to go through the system and most likely into the injector filter/basket or whatever it is called.
