Hey guys,
Thought I had most of this stuff figured out by now but after looking at the wastegate I'm not to sure what to do with these two lines. Can they be left open, should I feed them somewhere with a vacuum ? Not sure what to do Cheers |

in a basic set up the boost reference line from the turbo outlet goes to the fitting on the right or bottom of the wastegate diaphragm...
you can leave the other line open, its mprmally used with some boost controlers to add some boost pressure to the other side of the diaphragm to cancel out the boost pressure from the reference line... |

Thanks for the help Troyman I will have a look at the turbo tonight and see if there is something to connect up to it.

So I had a look and can't seem to find anywhere to run a line for boost reference.
Here is a pic of the turbo installed in the sellers car. My understanding is that there should be something there ? Or does it need to be added ? Because the wastegate does need some sort of boost reference doesn't it ? |

if there is no fitting there, itll be easier to add a hose fitting to your hotside pipe, closest to turbo...

Thanks FAST-XR
I was looking around and thought could it be setup in the following way... The first is that i place the line on the pipe that feeds from the compression housing to the TB? OR With the yellow square which could be a BOV and have the line connected to that ? Hope you enjoy my pro MS Paint |

Although you BOV will be fitted to that pipe, it needs a reference line from the manifold.
You will still need to add a reference line for the wastegate like you have drawn.

Ok cool, think I am getting the idea.
I was originally going to put the BOV there and run the vac from the bottom of the BBM. But like in this picture could the feed from the bottom of the BBM be feed to the wastegate ? |

you shouldnt be using manifold pressure for your wastgate, only for your BOV...
your reference for the wastegate needs to be off the turbo..

Just drill and tap a hole on the compressor housing (somewhere close to the comp housing outlet), fit a small barb fitting and run your wastegate reference vac line to that.

Yeah I was thinking of adding it on the compression housing or maybe add it onto the pipe feeding from the compression housing to the TB. |
