ok so im in the process of scrapping my mates el and its on lpg. I was wondering if i wanted to put my ef onto lpg. would it be worth taking the lpg stuff out of his and putting it into mine. If so what would i be looking at for a lpg shop to do the install for me?

I looked into that a few years ago. What is the date on the tank ? The line may have to be replaced with a new one and there may be a few other issues. There were rebates on Gas a while ago, so a new system wont give you as much grief if there are problems. ( warranty ) Other things that they dont tell you is a gas only system will freeze up in the cold, many cars come back from the snow on a tilt tray ! I decided not to go ahead, but the cheaper running would be nice.
