I was replacing my lower ball joint today, and whilst putting everything back together my son was sitting in the front seat playing around and pumped the brakes. The caliper was off the rotor tied up, and now the caliper piston has fully extended and both the pads are touching each other
 any idea the best way to seperate them

Can you get a G clamp to press one side down, so you can slip both the pads out?

Hmm i cant seem to get them far enough appart to get a clamp on:/

loosen off the bleed nipple, then it'll be easier to push the piston back, as it'll just force the fluid out the nipple.
once done, top up the reservoir and bleed the caliper.
