replaced the front rotors and pads today on my Ef Fairmont with ABS. Followed the gregorys manual and then bled the brakes. Now the brakes are working very well, but the brake light wont go off on the dash and the hazard flashers are on. I did have a little brake fluid spill when I removed the res cap that was only a few ml and contained around the master cylinder. I washed it straight away with a bottle of water, making sure there was no water going into the res.
Why is this the brake warning light on and the flashers going? I also cleaned all 4 rotors with brake cleaner, has that done something? |

Sorry not abs light, engine light ( !). I think what ever module thats near the master cyl got some fluid on it somehow. I have hosed the entire engine off again and it seems to have stopped.

If its popped up once it will more than likely pop up again pretty soon. Its best just to replace it. its the sensor on the right in the picture. download/file.php?id=3623&t=1
