i need to replace the condenser on the EL falcon wreckers want $200 for a 2nd hand one an i can get a new one on ebay cheaper i just dont know what type anyone know where i can get a Part number

should replace the dryer each time you replace the condenser. 14 year old dryers gotta be suss!!

well i broke the condenser removing the radiator so dryier shuld b right + aircon worked fine b4

The dryer acts as a filter, and as the name suggests, removes moisture from the refrigerant.
When you've lost all gas, or it's open to atmosphere, the drier absorbs moisture from the air - so changing it is mandatory. Do that just before regassing, or the new one will do same. Use the old one at your peril.

the condeser was covered up imedatly after removal as was the compressor

You're going to all this trouble and going to spend however much money buying new gas and replacing that...
But you're not going to replace a $30 drier? Mate I'd replace it... Doesn't matter if you covered it straight up or not... It would still be full of moisture from it's absorbed from the gas over the years... No point half assing it... Cheers, Tim

Not to mention that compressor front shaft seal that'll be ready to leak - if not already.StevenBruzz wrote: the condeser was covered up imedatly after removal as was the compressor That will help keep contaminates out of the oil, but again, exposure to air over long periods is a big enemy to A/C.Provided you haven't lost huge amounts of oil, your A/C mechanic should be adding 15ml of oil for the condenser change, and 10ml oil for the drier change.
