For some reason my ED XR8 looks like it has had the fuel pump relay wiring chopped a bit.

It was working fine but i cleaned up around the engine bay and i cant get it to work now.

From what i can see the Brown and Blue wire is cut and earthed, and it looks like there may have been another wire connected off the black and yellow wire.

Anyway im just wondering if this is a common problem or if anyone has any idea because the only way the car will start now is by connecting the pump directly to the battery.

I have swapped over the relay and tried to connect the wires that are cut to no avail.

Is this a common problem? any one have any idea?
