hi all. i need some majour help for a 05 ba xr8 mk2. while changing my timing tentioners the chains skipt a few teeth. .. With all the oil and what not my markings got marked off ....... I now have spent 2 days trying to set the timing unseccessfully. .... I now have the car at ford and even they cant seem to work out how to set it. ... After watchi.g them for 5 hours trying to work it out im in a majour spot and hours are costi.g big bucks.

Can anyone help me with a diagram or discription of some sort. ... One would think ford could set it quite easily. ..

Thanks

Gee I had all the diamgram stuff when I did mine but I can't remember where I got it from. I think for memory I got all the diagrams and instructions from emailed from BPR in Geelong.

Hey guys. thanks for the help. .... Turns out the workshop manual i have by max eedie i think it is was actually in correct. .... For have worked it out now im waitinv to have it back together. ... But they have found one cyl down on compresion by about 30 to 40 psi. ..... So now gonna see how bad it is

... Im hoping is not a bent valve just some bad carbon build up as it was out of tune. .. Do u think that could be the case. .. . Im hoping as no valves hit the pistons. ..

It is quite possible, the bent valves,.....I have done this job, and I had to make some tooling to hold the cams still.
I replaced the chains, and tensioners.....it wasn't an easy job either.
