about 15 - $20,000 might see you around the 600rwhp, then you need to worry about what trans your going to run to hold that power, there is no way the std clutch and 5 speed is going to survive with that power.... then you need to work out what your going to do in regards to stoping the thing ..

As said that's a massive amount of money to get that power. Doable but at 20 years old??
What are you going to be doing with the car? Drag/Show car?

Hey, welcome to Fordmods! There's a wealth of knowledge (and some awesome rides) here.
A Jim Mock EF development car running a turbo'd SOHC hit just over 600 horsepower at the wheels during a dyno shootout competition at AME. But that was after literally years of non-stop development and the engine built ground-up specifically to produce big dyno numbers. You have to wonder how driveable it is on the street. And I have a question mark over what fuel it was running to get those numbers. http://www.jimmockmotorsport.com/html/m ... racing.php I have heard of other EFs and ELs producing similar power, so it is possible. But do you really want to make the trade-offs and huge investment required just for the bragging rights? I'm sure you can have more fun for less money and effort. Here's an old discussion on another forum that may be of some interest: http://www.fullboost.com.au/forum/archi ... t-293.html FYI: Nizpro have achieved over 1100 hp (at the flywheel) with the DOHC engine on race gas.

450RwKw, High hopes on a E series motor. If you want those numbers, as said more than $20,000.00. If you want to use a SOHC then work on an AU motor.
Better idea fit a Barra DOHC F6 motor, spend money on it, cams etc, Fuel system, fit a good Turbo, Tune, then spend more money on the drivetrain, No T5 ot BTR is going to handle that RwKw. Then rebuild the diff and then spend big bucks on brakes. |

there are a few push quite a bit over 500rwkw, it doable but cost too much
