There just a normal headlight cover/protector which has some black trimming around the outside.
Peice of piss to install, just gotta pop the bonnet, and push them onto the headlight a peice slides in underneath the headlight and another moulded peice that grips slides between the top of the assembly and the black weather gaurd.

i think those black headlight things look pretty stupid. especially on falcons. some magna's look alright with them.

You get what you pay for!

A $30 set of head light covers won't look as good as an $1000+ xr conversion! :)

exactly right, but i reckon it'll be an improvement compared to the EL lights, i dont like them at all! i love everything but the lights! makes my car look friendly! i want people to look in their rear view and be like AHH! lol! XR would be great, and id love to do it, but i just cant afford it right now, nor do i have the time

You could also try and pick up a car-bra.
Just another option, but your car could look pretty tough in one.
I know my XR looks like a Nascar or something mean with the Black Car Bra on.

Get some really White or Bluish Headlights, maybe some mesh or something, if your into that, along the air duct.
Other than that, make sure ur car is quicker than ur mates VR (shouldn't be hard!) so he never sees your headlights and only your tailights.

Basically, they place mesh in the front bar and hold it together with all sorts of materials  Most of them dodgy sounding but they do the job!; plastic clip ties etc..

Image

Here is member "EFracer"s car with the mesh in the front bar!
