Hi all. Im in need of some advice.
Im in the market for an old x series falcon wagon for my work that i do, Im a Gardner/Landscaper. I need a 5 seater because of the kids but i need the power to tow and space for all my tools and s**t in the back end hence why i am thinking of wagon. I have a 4.0l EL engine with 180,000 on the clock that i pulled 6 months ago thats tight as a drum. I want to run the EL drive line: engine, gearbox, tail shaft and diff Question 1 (Will the diff and tail shaft fit from an E series to X Series) Question 2 Since i will be using it for manual labour what recommendations for my suspension? Im all ears! I know my E series Falcons very well and I've got the bug in me to do all the work myself I just dont know my way round the x series anymore. I have around $2000 to play with Im guessing i can pick up a x series for round 500 with a blown motor or trans Im guessing round $600-$800 to renew all the suspention, (Struts, Shocks, Springs, & Bushes). the remainder will fix whatever comes in my path along the way E.G New break pads, new slotted rotors light bulbs, wiring etc minor bits and pieces THEY DON'T MAKE EM THE WAY THEY USED TO!! If anyone out there could help or got and ideas that would be really appreciated. This whole job im looking at around 2 months to complete and be ready to drive Corey |

Why not just buy an EL Wagon, If you have 2K you shouldn't have a problem. You could evn pick up a Fairmont for that price.
