Hey guys I'm currently looking at putting BA intake piping (bend/flexi hose stuff) into my 1997 EL fairmont wagon.

I'm also interested in buying a custom airbox from a member on the forums,

I quite like the setup since it allows the factory CAI snorkel and a large K&N pod filter but the only downside I have is that there's no cover over the top of the pod.

As far as I'm aware especially being a P Plater in vic, having a pod filter visible like that is illegal?

So I was wondering if anyone knows of a place that could make me a plastic panel to go over the top of the filter to make it a complete box/look as factory as possible similar to the acron plastics airboxes.

If it's a factory look you're after use an EF airbox lid. Remove the trumpet and use some 75mm pipe from the flexi hose to the pod in the aixbox.
Pretty common mod. Were it not dark outside I'd get some pics of my setup to show you how to do it.

No so much a factory look i'm after just a setup that a cop won't mark my car as defective for. Not sure if what i'm looking at counts or not since it's still shielded from the engine bay heat but the top is exposed.

I'll have to inspect the intake to see if it's not too tall to fit a roof over it. Really wish there were companies that still made EL airboxes but the only one I know of is Acron plastics and they haven't replied to my emails.
