Hey all,
Sold my EF Fairmont a few months back, and bought an AU XR6. Sorting through a few minor dramas with it, and need a little help. The front passenger window regulator has a fault: it goes down, but not up. Problem is same whether you use drivers door "master" switch, or the actual switch on the LHF door. So it's not a swicth issue. Then occassionally, randomly, the window will go back up no problem. I've removed the inner door trim card, and had a look at all the wiring - everything looks connected and okay and connected. I'm thinking it's a power feed wire problem on the "up" part of the action, but I'm no electrician, and as I say everything looks like it's okay. Any ideas how I can test, check, or figure out what's happening? There's a lot more wires coming to the switch than I can make sense of. Also, the LHR door switch only makes the window go down ("up" doesn't work but the driver's master switch works to raise it again) - are these switches repairable, or should I just get new ones from the wreckers? Thanks.
