Hey ya'll, I am currently putting together some pipes for my own custom piping from my filter to TB. Pipes are 76mm, TB is 82mm. I've read on other forums that people have had trouble getting these to fit, but I know it can be done 'cause I've seen pics online. Before I even try and do this myself I thought I'd ask you knowledgeable people ^_^
Cheers guys |

Well last night After 20 minutes of f@rt arsing around I managed to get my first draft air intake on, Made from Silicone Pipes and Aluminum Pipes.
If you are using a silicone hose to join it all to the TB I managed to get it on with a thin layer of engine oil on the inside of the silicone hose as lubricant and used my hand from the inside of the hose to stretch that last mm onto the TB, Also had to force a hose clamp over it then tightened it a tad which was tough. Not sure how you plan on securing it onto the TB I know some people have cut off and used the joining section of the original air intake setup to join it to the TB aswell may try that the second time around. Trial and error in my case. Good Luck.

cheers mate, yeah I was going to use the silicone pipe to join it all up, but I have absolutely no idea where to start lol. This is the first car I've ever modded so I'm sort of having to learn as I go

You will need a slight angle off the TB so the 180 deg bend sits as flat as possible over the intake plennum.
I have a flexable joint there and I have had some issues with the pipe hitting the bonnet so a strait section would be a headache. It damaged the paint on my old bonnet and almost wore through the alloy pipe from the vibration, so keep this in mind.
