when im driiving i can hear a shudder when i apply the brakes it seems to go away its not a hollowing noise so i think it may not be the wheel bearings i've looked up and it might be rotor warp but i would think it would still be there when braking, the suspension is stock atm and feels kind of floaty so im lowering it withing the next week and il see if it helps

also coming from the front is a sqeaky sound when its bounced i did get told a while ago what it was an forgot i think they said it was the bushes, all i remeber was it was cheap but real hard to fix it comes from front corners could even be the D bushes

Noises can normally be eliminated by turning up the stereo a little... :D

Does your brake pedal pulsate when pushed? Could be the rotors or air in the lines.

To find the squeak perhaps try some WD40 to locate it and then grease or replace the offending part?

Jason.

Normally when your rotor need a skim, the pedal will vibrate and the steering will also vibrate. This assumes it's the front rotors.

I've had the rear rotors cause a pulsating pedal too. Took a while to figure out that the rear discs were the real issue. Just using the hand brake solved that head scratcher on an XF.

It's most likely to be the discs. Try bleeding all the brakes first to see if that fixes the issue. Also, how long has it been since you replaced the brake fluid? It's hydroscopic (absorbs water) so it should be replaced every couple of years. I usually do it when replacing the pads.

Sounds like you have a lot of things to check using a process of elimination...

Tyres can also cause strange noises & vibrations due to bad wheel alignment, balance and subsequent wear. A wheel alignment & balance will not fix this in my experience. It should improve the situation though...

Jason.

thats sounds like brake shudder it usually its more noticable under light braking, get a disc machine if the discs are within specs also schanfered the pads and do a brake flush and should be fine! usually its front discs it the steering wheel shakes and the rears if you can feel it through the car!
